de Chile es posible encontrar exquisitas tiendas especializadas en
automoviles a escala con gran stock en automoviles actuales y
del pasado, de competicion y de calle, buses y camiones. Todo lo que
ha producido la industria automotriz es posible encontrar en
estas tiendas. Internet nunca reemplazara la sensacion de estar un
una de estas tiendas, rodeado de miniaturas que nunca pensamos que
existian y todas al alcance de nuestra vista. Internet podra matar
estos negocios pero para quienes hemos tenido la suerte de estar en
ellos, la sensacion es imborrable. Para no ser menos,
hay una gama bastante amplia de Studebakers, algunos de ellos, ,
verdaderas sorpresas.
In other countries , not Chile, still there exist amazing model car stores where it is possible to find almost any motor car and buses and trucks that have been built. Internet never will replace the feeling, sensation, the bright of their enamels and the smell of the new models, sensation that one can find just inside those stores. Internet probably will kill those stores but if one has been lucky enough to visit several of them in different countries, is difficult to replace the sensation to have all those model at sight. Not least, we have find a wide range of Studebakers. |

| 1941: The most sorpresive Studebaker to find as a model is this very nice and well executed Champion 1941. In red and black it looks pretty well , a color combination that shows in better efect the white tires. | 1951: As well as the 41'Champion, the 1950 Land Cruiser is not a very common scale model. The scene shows 4 Studes. This scale model looks quite well but, in a nearly examination its details are crude, not made with today's technology for scale models. | 1952: An historical Dinky toys number 172. It represents a very unusual Stude to find in scale models: The 1952 Land Cruiser. It looks rough and the color combination is not real nor well achieved. Maybe in Studebaker green or blue it could look better. The drawing in the box, in my opinion, is nearer to a Frazer than a Stude. Nevertheless it is a model to appreciate due to its scarcity . |

| 1953: The Starliner hardtop coupe is more common in scale models. In this case , even in the non stock green with green color combination , it looks superb | 1955: This Dinky toys (made by Meccano) is a rather crude representation of the 55 model . Certainly the less desirable model of the five that I found in this store. The condition of the cardboard box is a tell tale that the model is a original Dinky toy and not a reproduction. | 1955: Alto's Auto body shop is taking care of this 1955 Packard Caribbean V8. In fact this car was produced by Studebaker -Packard Corp. a name that we should use more frequently for cars produced between 1955 and 1961 |

Jo-Han fue una
famosa marca de modelos automotrices que producia promos para los concesionarios estadounidenses. En aquella epoca dorada
los concesionarios regalaban figuras a escala de los automoviles que
un comprador ya habia cotizado en firme. Antes de internet este Lark
hardtop de 1960 fabricado por Jo Han llego a manos de un
coleccionista chileno. Hoy dìa este ejemplar puede observarse en las
vitrinas del Museo Studebaker Moncopulli. Desgraciadamente parece
que ningun Lark Hardtop en tamaño real llego a Chile
Jo Han was a famous supplier of models to new car dealers in the States. long before the internet age and their easy way to buy, This 1960 Hardopt lark was brought to Chile by a collector. Today this model can be looked at the Moncopulli Museum . Unfortunately no real size Lark Hardotps seemed to be arrived to Chile |
